Using a Ring Guard

Ring guard on a ring

Ring guards let you tighten loose rings without resizing.

Instructions

Step 1
Placing ring guard on ring

Place your ring guard into the opening of your band. Wrap one 'leg' of the guard around the band from the front and the other leg from the back. Adjust the guard up or down the band to the size ring you need.

Step 2
Wrapping leg of ring guard around the ring

Using chain-nose pliers, begin wrapping the first ''leg'' around the band. Repeat for the other leg.

Step 3

Double check the size.

Step 4
Pressing wrap down with pliers

Continue wrapping one leg until it is wrapped completely around the band. Repeat for the other leg. Press gently on the end of each leg so they aren't sticking out from the band. Your ring guard is successfully in place.
